Only drivers mentioned in the rental agreement are allowed to drive a Hertz vehicle. (see also “Do Hertz allow Additional Drivers?”)
Yes, you may add an additional driver onto your rental agreement. This must be done at the time of rental. The additional driver must present a valid driving licence at time of rent. You can also add an additional driver onto your rental agreement during your rental. To do this the driver and the additional driver can visit any Hertz Rental location. The additional driver must present a valid driving licence and must comply with age restrictions.

The daily cost is €5 per day plus VAT.
For rentals in Greece, upon pick up of the vehicle, Hertz will preauthorise an amount from the driver's credit card as a deposit for guarantee which will be fully refunded at the end of the rental, provided no other charges arise. Please note that the refund can take up to 14 days, depending on the issuing bank of the credit card. The amount of the deposit varies according to the car group. Specifically:
- A, B, J, V2: € 350
- D, F, H, K, L, P, W, M, V3, V4: € 500
- E, EM, EE, N, NM, R, T, U, Y: € 750
- V, G, YL, 1, 5, 8, 9: € 1,250
- YP, 3,9L: € 3,000
